The 47th edition of the Miss Intercontinental contest will be held on January 26, 2019 in Manila, Philippines. Candidates from around 90 countries and autonomous territories will compete for the title. At the end of the Verónica Salas event, Mexico’s Miss Intercontinental 2017 will crown her successor.

The Miss Star of Russia (Мисс Звезда России) Organization appointed the 25 year-old «The Russian Barbie» Tatyana Tuzova. She is a singer and a fashion designer. As well, she wishes to get more involved in charity projects and she hopes that pageantry will open the doors for empowering women. She doesn’t want other girls to have a difficult childhood, and wants to help the people in need.
