Miss Planet International is the pageant with the Best Advocacy and prepares proposal to the United Nations

Miss Planet International pursues the compliance of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals accepted by the United Nations members and the 2030 Agenda.

Each candidate will be preparing a social project indicating the goals (SDGs) that are supported, in addition, they will be having the opportunity to propose the creation of the Sustainable Development Goal #18.

The organization will gather all the proposals and will forward them to the United Nations office in order to enrich the 2030 Agenda.

This is a Cambodia based pageant and in this country the first edition was hosted where the South African Monique Best became the winner. Offering a high quality finale blending the Khmer culture and contemporary taste.

Later this year, 70 – 80 candidates will be competing for the Miss Planet International 2022 title in Uganda, The Pearl of Africa.

(Arrivals: November 5th-6th / Finale: November 19th/ Departure: November 20th)

The candidates will be accommodated at the luxurious Speke Resort Munyonyo, one of the best hotels of Africa. It has 450 rooms and an area of more than 100 hectares by the coast of the Lake Victoria, world’s largest tropical lake.

As mentioned by the CEO of the pageant Mr. Pedro Francisco Marquez during a live with the candidates of Czech Republic and Germany.

I wanted to gather all the good things that I learned while working in Miss Universe in 2007 and serving for the UN Agency of Refugees in 2015. So Miss Planet International came out.

We believe in citizen participation and we created a pageant to promote this necessary social change in order to Save our Planet and Humanity on Earth. We will propose a 18th Sustainable Development Goal and will contribute to the 2030 Agenda.
