Marina Oreshkina – Miss Star of Russia for Miss International

We are so glad to announce that we got the precious opportunity to interview a gorgeous candidate, Marina Oreshkina «Miss Star of Russia 2019» that is representing the Russian Federation at the 59th edition of the Miss International beauty pageant to be held at Japan’s Tokyo Dome.

How were you in childhood?

In childhood I was very active child, loved various Activiti (dances, singing) and so same model school, where we created clothes from different materials and did on their own haircut. I was born in a city near the sea, so my childhood was also spent near it.

What did you dream of being when you grew up?

I dreamed of being a Princess. And then a veterinarian to treat animals.

What motivated you to participate in contests?

Initially it was very spontaneous, but I realized that I wanted to promote beauty and healthy lifestyle among young people

What has been the most difficult to learn in the pre-contest period?

There is nothing complicated in this life! You need only the desire and perseverance to achieve the goal! Therefore, if there is a desire-there will be no difficulties

What have you enjoyed the most since you were crowned so far?

Most of all I like the opportunity to take part in social projects and be useful to society

What are your hobbies?

I have several of them. I like to paint oil paintings, I like to read books, I love sports and active recreation. And as I like to help animals, help to raise money for their rehabilitation.

Favorite song and what is its interpreter?

From the Russian band (I go out at night in a field with a horse) . Very beautiful song, in Russian style

Your favorite tourist attraction in Russia?

There are several! Moscow (red square), St. Petersburg (Hermitage, Peterhof), Vladivostok (Russkiy Island and viewpoints)

I love this country. My city is very close to Japan and so I know a lot about it since childhood and always dreamed of visiting it

What are your greatest virtues?

I know how to win over people and find a common language with everyone! And I’m also very purposeful

What message would you give to those girls who would like to follow your steps in the world of competitions?

Don’t be afraid! Try, try and do not stop in front of difficulties! This is a great opportunity to make our planet better !
