Katica Rakuljic is a well known top model that is shining at the red carpet of Cannes Film Festival
She gained recognition among the Croatian public when she finished as the first runner-up in the Miss Universe Croatia competition in 2011 and represented Croatia in the Supermodel of the World contest. Following her participation in the pageant, she focused on her education and successfully graduated from the University of Gothenburg in 2016.
Katica expresses that she has always been a diligent individual and made every effort to accomplish her objectives. Primarily, her determination played a significant role in her achievements. Nonetheless, her beauty titles, particularly the Miss Universe Croatia runner-up title, played a pivotal role in her success, leading to more opportunities, recognition, and advancement, which she fully capitalized on. Katica expresses gratitude for this aspect of her journey.

She spent six years working for the Swedish government.
Having obtained a degree from a Swedish university proved highly advantageous for her. «After completing my studies, I worked for the Swedish government in Stockholm for six years, so the degree was incredibly valuable to me. Currently, I continue to work as a model, and I am delighted to participate in projects like Cannes,» Katica reveals.
Undoubtedly, she takes great pride in her accomplishments thus far. «I take pride in every achievement, particularly when I know it is the result of my hard work. I have always been my own toughest critic, constantly striving to improve in everything I undertake. I believe I inherited this trait from my hardworking grandmother, and I sincerely hope that my family takes pride in me. That is the most important thing to me,» she explains.
Although Katica was born in Split, she has resided in Sweden for a considerable period. «I currently live in Gothenburg, but I frequently visit Croatia, especially Split, once or twice a year. Split, my place of birth, holds a special place in my heart as my favorite and most beautiful city in the world,» she shares with us.
At present, the Cannes Film Festival is taking place, attracting numerous Hollywood personalities, and Katica is serving as a presenter there. This is not her first experience in a leadership role.
Katica said «I entered the realm of hosting for the first time a year ago when I was working in Stockholm at the TV4 studio for an international program. That was my initial experience of how everything works, and later on, I worked for them multiple times. I truly found my calling in hosting and I enjoy it. I have only worked with One Press TV in Cannes, and prior to that, we collaborated on the ‘Guldbaggen’ – the Swedish film award.
Therefore, I engage in hosting only when I receive significant projects. It’s quite amusing to me because when I was younger, my biggest fear was public speaking, and I used to get extremely nervous whenever I had to do it, for instance, at school. That’s when I pushed myself to attend public speaking classes in order to overcome that fear,» she explained.»
